We've come up with a couple contests to raise funds for a good Samaritan cause:  To help our fellow TICA Northwest members, Jeff and Shirley Byington, who are trying to cope with the loss of their home and companions in a tragic house fire.

The proceeds of these activities will be donated to them to help with the challenge of rebuilding their home and family.

1.  Baking contest - Our show will provide coffee and tea service as part of the show hall hospitality.  We'd like to add some fun to this by having a bake contest.  Bring your favorite, talked about, recipes to share with others over coffee and tea during the show.  Donations will be welcomed from those that wish to consume the baked goodies and we will be offering prizes for the top 3 favorite items.  So, put on your apron and bake something up to bring with you to the show and share with your TICA friends AND contribute to a good Samaritan cause!

2.  Special raffle item - We have received a donation from Sturdi Products for our raffle - we know everyone will want this item!  Bring a few extra bucks to buy tickets to win this special item!  Again, proceeds will be donated to our good Samaritan cause to help them recover some of what they've lost.

3.  Silent Auction - Organized by Heather Kmitta, please view the items in the auction and submit a bid to her by email.  Closing will be on Friday of the show so that the items can be brought to the show for the winning bidders - so make sure to keep some room in those bags of yours!  Again, proceeds go to Jeff and Shirley.
